The Chester County Hazards Mitigation Task Force has been established to make the population of the community more resistant to the impacts of future disasters.
The above document reports the results of that planning process for the current planning period, as indicated in the attached table.

The Chester County Emergency Management Agency is responsible for the coordination of preparedness and emergency response activities that may result from either man - made incidents or severe weather conditions. This agency develops and maintains the appropriate emergency plans and procedures and participates in necessary preparedness activities. These plans include education on Public Warning, health and environmental issues and public self-protection. The Chester EMA coordinates and supports the Chester Haz-mat team (Hazardous Materials). Major exercises for training and readiness are conducted with all emergency agencies, along with key members of the business industry, in Chester County.
NIMS (National Incident Management System): an incident command systems used by our emergency personnel. There are certain training courses that all responders must take and this agency is responsible for providing needed training and maintaining all records.
