Responsibilities and Services
- To procure goods, supplies, and services needed by the county
- To maximize the purchasing value of all public funds
- To maintain the procurement procedures and policies
- Sell, trade, or dispose of materials declared surplus by County Council
- To assist county departments in planning, scheduling, and bidding purchases
- Ensure fairness in awarding purchasing
- To motivate competition by advertising all solicitations
- Utilize the sealed bid and proposal process
- Obtain the best price through research and competitive bidding
- Track and upkeep inventory
- Responsible for all contracts produced within the County
- Deliver mail to County office mail boxes
- Oversee copier, pagers and cell phone contracts
- Support other departments
