Treasurer’s Office and Auditor’s Office
As of September 21, 2020 County Offices are now open at the Chester Government Complex at 1476 J.A. Cochran Bypass, Chester, SC. The Drive-Thru services at 2605 Dawson Drive, Chester, SC are CLOSED as of October 9, 2020.

Responsibilities and Services

  • Calculate, create and mail tax bills for all real and personal property

  • Accepts applications for Homestead Exemption on primary residence

  • Process motor vehicle license plates for tax refunds or tax bill adjustments

  • Process motor vehicle high mileage and reappraisal appeals

  • Process refunds and tax bill adjustments on real property

  • First time vehicle set up
